Shlomo Mintz is a legendary Israeli violinist, violist, conductor and teacher, who has long and firmly taken his place on the modern musical Olympus. At the age of 11 he played with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and Zubin Mehta, at 16 he made his debut at Carnegie Hall, and at 20 he made a European tour with the greatest conductors of the time. Shlomo Mintz has been on the jury of the most prestigious music competitions around the world from Argentina to Japan. Many unique instruments have sounded in the hands of the maestro: a violin made by Guarneri and played by Paganini, as well as one of the violins that belonged to concentration camp prisoners and survivors of the Holocaust. Shlomo Mintz performs at the best venues of the world with outstanding orchestras and conductors and is rightfully included in the world violin elite.
