Modern interpreters of Mozart's work have repeatedly noted that, based on the famous play by Beaumarchais in the genre of comic opera, The Marriage of Figaro, in fact, is replete with serious feelings and deep passions. The creation of the great composer makes you think about the nature of such phenomena as love, loyalty, marriage, military service and many others. These days it makes it possible to fill the performance with dramatic meanings and interesting author's solutions.

The Voronezh State Opera and Ballet Theatre invited Mikhail Bychkov, a drama and opera director, artistic director of the Voronezh Chamber Theatre and the Platonov Arts Festival, to stage The Marriage of Figaro on its stage. The stage director of the play is the chief conductor of the Moscow State Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Music Theatre, People's Artist of Russia Felix Korobov. The set design of the play is the responsibility of the laureate of the Golden Mask Award Alexey Votyakov, chief designer of the Magnitogorsk Drama Theatre named after A. S. Pushkin. The group of authors also includes a video artist Alexey Bychkov, lighting designer Ivan Vinogradov, choirmaster, the honored worker of arts of the Voronezh region Olga Shcherban.

The leading soloists of the Voronezh Opera troupe, the choir, the orchestra of the theatre and invited soloists of Moscow theatres take part in the performance.
