Theatre company NoGravity (Italy)

Directed by Emiliano Pellisari

Duration - 1 hour 45 minutes without intermission.

The modern dance performance has no plot in the usual sense.

A partially nude body is shown.

The production is dedicated to Leonardo da Vinci and marks the 500th anniversary of his death. The images created by the Italian genius - "The Virgin of the rocks", "The Last Supper", "Vitruvian Man", "Mona Lisa" and others come to life in a fanciful choreography.

The ensemble plays the Renaissance music and acrobats, as if not obeying the laws of gravity, levitate over the stage. NoGravity creates a "theatre of marvel" and demonstrates the possibilities of Renaissance technology that still boggle the imagination.

In 2017, the theatre presented the play "Aria" at the Platonov Festival which the audience was very interested in – it was necessary to organise an additional showing in order to accommodate all the audience.

"NoGravity demonstrates the impossible - complete freedom of artists soaring, rotating and moving in a small stage space."
