Shlomo Mintz — the legendary violinist and viola player, a student of Isaac Stern. At the age of 11, at the invitation of Zubin Meta performed with the Israel Symphony Orchestra, debuted at Carnegie Hall at 16, made a big European tour at 20, and conducted the French National Orchestra at the Champs Elysees Theatre on his 50th birthday.

Mintz performed in the best halls of the world, accompanied by the most famous orchestras. His playing is distinguished by impeccable technique, unusually expressive sound, purity, and severity of style.

The musician is the winner of many prestigious awards, including the Chigi Academy of Music in Siena (Italy), Diapason D’Or, Grand Prix du Disque, Gramophone, Edison Award (twice).

He plays the Guarneri del Gesu violin (1700).
