The Grammy Award winner chamber ensemble “The Moscow Soloists” founded by Yuri Bashmet, its current art director, conductor, and solo performer for the first time takes part in the Platonov Festival 

During their creative life “The Moscow Soloists” have given about 2000 concerts. Their art was applauded in over 50 countries of Europe and Asia, North and Latin America, Australia and New Zealand. “The Moscow Soloists” have performed on the world-known stages: Carnegie Hall in New York, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, Barbican Hall in London, Tivoli in Copenhagen, Berlin Philharmonic Hall, Musikverein in Vienna, National Academy of St Cecilia in Rome, Sydney Opera House, Great Hall of Moscow Conservatory. The ensemble participates in the “Promenade concerts” in Albert Hall in London, in concert series Prestige de la Musique in Pleyel in Paris, in Sony Classical in Theatre des Champs-Elysees.

In 2008 the ensemble earned a Grammy award for their recording of music by Stravinsky and Prokofiev. “The Soloists” also received three Grammy nominations: in 1994 for their disk with recordings of music works by Shostakovich and Brahms, in 2006 – for the recording of chamber symphonies by Shostakovich, Sviridov and Weinberg, and in 2009 for the recording of music works by Japanese and Chinese composers.
