Meeting with Andrey Bitov
Andrey Bitov is a writer, critic, one of the founders of postmodernism in the Russian literature. The author of well-known novels, such as “Pushkin House”, “Flying-Away Monakhov”, “The New Gulliver” and others. He has also been the head of the Platonov legacy commission since 1988.
“He is familiar to Russian readers of all generations – both 70s and 90s. A genuine classicist, a representative of the great Russian literature, Andrey Bitov has his own voice. What really matters is this person is truly devoted to Platonov,” says Natalya Kornienko, a member of the Platonov Award Council, a literary critic, the head of the Platonov group in the Gorky institute of World Literature, a correspondent member of RAS.
