The Platonov award ceremony and an evening with Leonid Desyatnikov

The Platonov award ceremony and a meet-the-artist event with its laureate - the composer Leonid Desyatnikov - will be held on June 14th at 6 p.m. on the main stage of the Chamber Theatre.

This year, the Platonov Award in Literature and Art was given to the composer Leonid Desyatnikov "for outstanding achievements in the development of musical traditions and creative courage".

Leonid Desyatnikov is one of the most frequently performed contemporary composers, Honored Art Worker of the Russian Federation, the laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation, laureate of the "Golden Mask" theatre award. He is a participant of the International Platonov Arts Festival 2018.

Alexey Goribol (piano) - Honored Artist of Russia, the laureate of the I International Dmitry Shostakovich Competition Classica Nova, and a vocalist Taras Prisyazhnyuk (tenor) – a soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus, an artist of the Young Artists Opera Programme of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia, will also participate in the event.

Tickets for the meet-the-artist event will go on sale on Friday, May 21st at 10 a.m. on the website and at the festival ticket offices.
