Platonov Festival’s call for applications for the reading relay is still open

The reading relay traditionally unites festival participants, the Voronezh residents, and the city guests of various professions and ages, about 60 people in total.

Relay participants take turns in reading a fragment from the writer's works, which they receive in advance, thereby expressing interest and respect for the work of Andrey Platonov. So, a film director, the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, the People's Artist of Russia Alexander Sokurov, an artist and a writer Eduard Kochergin, a writer Alexey Varlamov, a director Yuri Butusov, a sculptor Maxim Dikunov, the heads of the Voronezh region and the city in different years - Alexey Gordeev, Alexander Gusev, Vadim Kstenin and many others - became the readers of the annual marathon based on the writer's works.

The novels “The Secret Man”, “Yamskaya Sloboda”, “For the Future”, “City of Gradov”, “The Juvenile Sea”, “Bread and Reading”, excerpts from the novel “Chevengur” and others were read on the Sovetskaya square where the event is traditionally held. This year, Platonov's short stories were selected for the reading relay.

The literary marathon will take place on September 26th as a part of the Book Fair on Sovetskaya Square, from 12 to 2 p.m.
