Leonid Desyatnikov became the laureate of the Platonov Award-2021

Today, the Platonov award ceremony in the field of literature and art to the composer Leonid Desyatnikov took place on the main stage of the Voronezh Chamber Theatre. He was given the award "for outstanding achievement in the development of musical traditions and creative courage."

The prize was given by the artistic director of the festival and theatre director Mikhail Bychkov and the Deputy Prime Minister of the Voronezh Region Oleg Mosolov.

Platonov Award was established in 2011 by the Government of the Voronezh region and is awarded annually to Russian and foreign cultural figures for their significant contribution to the cultural heritage of the Russian Federation, for creation of outstanding works of literature, theatre, music, visual arts, and for innovative development of humanistic and cultural traditions.

After the award ceremony, a meet-the-artist event with of its laureate took place, during which the composer's works were performed by the pianist Alexey Goribol and the tenor Taras Prisyazhnyuk.
