An additional showing of Boris Eifman's ballet "Anna Karenina" to the music of Pyotr Tchaikovsky based on the novel by Leo Tolstoy will take place on April 8th. The performance starts at 2 p.m.
The ballet "Anna Karenina" generated great interest among the Voronezh audience: all tickets for the previously announced showings have been sold out, and we continue to receive questions from the city residents about the possibility to attend the performance. We are pleased to announce that the Directorate of the Platonov Festival, together with the St. Petersburg Eifman Ballet, have decided to hold an additional showing of the ballet "Anna Karenina" on April 8th at 2 p.m.
In the printed media "Anna Karenina" is called one of the best works by Boris Eifman. Pavel Yashchenkov in the "Moskovsky Komsomolets" newspaper characterises the ballet in the following way: "The uniqueness and solidity of Eifman's views on Tolstoy's novel are striking. Eifman's choreography stands out not only because of its beauty and ingenuity - there is a very thoughtful and detailed analysis of Tolstoy's work on stage. An adequate ballet solution has been found for each scene."
Tickets for the performance "Anna Karenina" by the St. Petersburg Eifman Ballet will be available from March 4th from 10 a.m. on the website platonovfest.com (service fee - 5%), at the ticket offices of the Voronezh Concert Hall and the Opera and Ballet Theatre (without service fee), as well as at the ticket offices and on the website of the festival's ticket partner kassir.ru (service fee - 10%).
